<image:title>Home - Why is God not making himself tangibly known to me?</image:title>
<image:caption>“God is making himself known to us through his creation (for example the beauty of nature and vastness of the universe, Rom 1:20), through his son Jesus Christ whom he send to live amongst us 2000 years ago and who died on the cross, was resurrected and is alive now at this very moment, and also through scripture (the bible) which reveals the history of this earth and all about Jesus Christ and God the father.” In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. (1 John 4:9) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. <image:caption>If you earnestly want to find him, he will reveal himself to you. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. <image:title>Home - Can he help me?</image:title>
<image:caption>As long as we are honest with God and in humility confess our sins he will hear us and restore us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:6-7)</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Us</image:title>
<image:caption>Overcomer Church Markus and Yetunde heard the call of God on their lives when He took them out of the corporate world and gave their lives a new meaning. Having been in their previous church for 12 years serving there as elders and trustee (Markus) they started Overcomer Church within their own neighbourhood in Hampshire, UK, in June 2020 and have now moved to Cardiff to be closer to their two sons and their families. What we are passionate about: To help believers to fall in love with the Word of God and to help them to understand what the living Word means for us as people and for our lives today and tomorrow. What we believe in: The only truth and authority is in the Holy Scriptures (e.g. NIV, NKJV, ESV to name a few) Joshua 1:8 (ESV) “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Justification is by Grace alone (not works) through faith 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (ESV) “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,” John 3:16-17 (ESV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV) “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” Romans 5:8 (ESV) “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God is one but three persons (Holy Trinity = God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) John 1:14 (ESV) “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” 2 Corinthians 3:17 (ESV) “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Us</image:title>
<image:caption>Markus Markus had been a nominal Christian most of his young and adult life but never made the true commitment for Christ until he was 40 years of age. Distracted by the world and likewise lost in it, he struggled in corporate life. Then, God called him out of the corporate world and showed him through personal hardship that money and status in the world can hold us back from the true joy and peace that comes from serving God. Markus has since never looked back and is hungry for the truth and where it is found, in the Word of God and through revelations by the Holy Spirit. Markus has been blessed with the opportunity to spend most of his time in full time ministry whilst supporting his wife in her widespread activities within and outside the Kingdom of God.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Us</image:title>
<image:caption>Yetunde Yetunde has been a born-again Christian from a young age but has had her ups- and downs in her walk with Christ until she met Markus and brought him to church. Together they were able to see with more clarity the truth in the Word of God and what it means to apply the Word of God in their lives and to live in Christ. Yetunde left the corporate world before Markus and started her own consultancy. She is a successful author, coach and mentor as well as a speaker on culture, change, inclusion and love based leadership. She also runs an annual conference called “What’s your story” demonstrating the need for humility and the importance of who you are over what you have or do and how that can have a positive impact in the professional and private environment. She leads Overcomer Women – a women’s group under the cover of Overcomer Church and not restricted to Overcomer church members. The purpose of Overcomer Women is to Equip, Empower and Multiply. The vision is raising up women of God who love God and others, who share the Gospel and overcome challenges and are living testimonies and role models raising up other women likewise.</image:caption>

<image:title>Support Us - We believe in approaching giving the way that Jesus told us to do:</image:title>
<image:caption>Key principles for giving: Give not because you must, but because you want to Give from the heart, out of joy Don’t boast about your giving 2 Corinthians 9:9 (NIV) As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV) Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Matthew 6:1, 3 (NIV) “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, Luke 16:9 (NIV) I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Luke 14:13-14 (NIV) But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Whom to give: Acts 4:32 (NIV) All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. Galatians 6:6 (NIV) Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. Acts 10:4 (NIV) Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.</image:caption>
